(1) The stamped parts shall meet product application and technical requirements, and be easy for assembly and maintenance.
(2) The design shall maximize metal material utilization, reduce material types and specifications, and cut material consumption as much as possible. Low-cost materials shall be adopted where permitted, and blanking with zero or minimal waste shall be realized for parts.
(3) Stamped parts shall feature simple shapes and rational structures to simplify die structures and cut down working procedures. The whole part shall be finished with the least and simplest stamping processes to avoid secondary machining. The design shall facilitate stamping operations and support mechanized & automatic production to boost labor productivity.
(4) On the premise of normal service performance, the dimensional tolerance and surface roughness requirements shall be reasonably relaxed. The design shall guarantee good part interchangeability, lower reject rate and stable product quality.
(5) The design shall be compatible with existing equipment, tooling and production workflows, and help extend the service life of stamping dies.

(1) Stamping for automotive industry, mainly deep drawing. In China, this business segment is mostly concentrated in large manufacturers such as automobile factories, tractor factories and aircraft manufacturers. Independent large-scale deep drawing stamping factories are rare.
(2) Stamping for spare parts of automobiles and other industries, mainly blanking & forming. Many manufacturers of this type belong to standard parts factories, while others are independent stamping plants. A large number of small factories of this kind are located around automobile and tractor manufacturers.
(3) Electrical component stamping plants. This emerging industry has developed alongside the growth of electrical appliances, and most such factories are located in South China.
(4) Daily necessities stamping plants, producing handicrafts, tableware and other goods. This sector has achieved rapid expansion in recent years.
(5) Household appliance component stamping plants. These factories emerged with the booming domestic home appliance industry in China, most of which are affiliated to home appliance enterprises.
(6) Special stamping manufacturers, including those producing aviation stamped parts. Such professional processing workshops are generally attached to large industrial manufacturers.
